  Air Force Teen Council

The Air Force Teen Council (AFTC) is a network of teens working to resolve issues and voice concerns to the highest levels of AF leadership on behalf of teens globally or worldwide. The goals of the Air Force Teen Council are to:
  • Increase and improve communication between Air Force teens and Air Force leadership
  • Cultivate an environment of civic leadership among teen members
  • Increase relevancy of Air Force Youth Programs in teens lives
  • Initiate change which will improve quality of life for AF youth and teens

The Air Force Teen Council program is comprised of three layers, the Installation Teen Council (ITC), the MAJCOM Teen Council (MTC) and the AF Teen Council (AFTC). The ITC works together to discover local teen concerns, brainstorm solutions, and initiate change with the assistance of their Teen Staff Advisor. This group can be the existing Keystone Club, Teen Council or another assemblage of teens. Participation of teens who do not normally use the Youth Programs is encouraged. Each installation's Youth Programs will select a teen to represent their greater teen population with their Advisor as the ITC Representative (ITCR) on the MTC. While this person does not have to be the Youth of the Year, those skills and leadership abilities should be held by the selectee. Each MAJCOM will select one teen to represent their teen population as the MTC Representative (MTCR). This teen will serve on the Air Force Teen Council representing all installations in their command.

Digital nomination forms are available at your local Youth Programs and should be returned there for consideration. Local due dates may vary, so be sure to act soon!
